The full trailer for the What We Do In The Shadows TV show is bloody brilliant

What we do in the shadows

This could genuinely be one of the year’s best comedies.

Most cult films usually have a bunch of characters that audiences instantly identify with but in the case of the bloody brilliant (emphasis on the bloody) comedy What We Do In The Shadows, it’s almost impossible to choose a single one.

For those that haven’t seen the mockumentary yet – seriously, do it – it’s the creation from the godlike Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Hunt for the Wilderpeople) and Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) and it follows a group of vampires who live together in Wellington.

However, there’s also room for some werwolves – remember, they’re not swearwolves – and a litany of gormless humans that round off this wonderfully mad cast.

Well, as stated in our year review of 2019’s best upcoming new shows, the US remake of the beloved comedy has some serious potential and unlike most other adaptations, this has managed to keep the original creators involved.

Ok, what about the plot?

Meet Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), and Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), a trio of misanthropic vampires living in New York City and struggling to adapt to the modern day world. Guillermo (Harvey Guillen), Nandor’s familiar and human assistant, does what he can to help his liege get by, but there’s only but so much a centuries-old vampire can do to break out of his old, literally undying habits.

The new show airs on 27 March 27 on FX and we’d be amazed if it doesn’t get a release date here.

Take a look at what’s in store.
