Do you want rice with your rice? First Dates gives us the fussiest eater of all time.
Look, we all have food we wouldn't go near if our lives depended on it. For me, it's cucumber. Hate the stuff. Who needs food that tastes like water?
That being said, I'd eat the arse of a farmer through a tractor seat if I was hungry enough, which can't be said for First Dater Ethan on Tuesday night's show.
"I should get this out of the way," Ethan from Claremorris tells Gráinne from Wicklow, "I'm an awful awkward eater."
Fair enough, we say, the chap isn't big on curries and would get physically sick if he mistook an olive for a grape, but Ethan is a different level of fussy entirely.
He clearly didn't think much of the menu in the First Dates restaurant as he ordered the plate of boiled rice with a side of boiled rice and just a soupçon of boiled rice to finish it all off.
This is next level selectiveness right here and, in fairness to Gráinne, she takes it all wonderfully in her stride.
