This Dublin restaurant is screening all of Game of Thrones season 8 on a big screen

Game of Thrones Dublin

No excuse to not experience these last episodes in style.

Winter is coming. In April. You know the drill by now.

You’re counting the days, sure.

The end is nigh for Game of Thrones, but it’s going to be insanely epic, right?

Between the predictions and the previews and the rumours and the theories and the fact that we’re actually so close to the first episode of season eight… well, it’s enough to make your head spin.

With that in mind, it’s of paramount importance to sort out a highly comfortable viewing experience for the occasion, preferably one as spectacular as possible.

You may have seen the news that Dublin pub The Back Page will be screening every episode of the final season.

Decent. Game of Thrones lends itself surprisingly well to a communal situation. Just check out this hipster American bar taking in The Viper versus The Mountain:

So, yeah, if that’s your jam you could also hit up Union Café Mount Merrion in the capital, where a projector-sized screen, outdoor terrace and hefty surround sound system will combine to give the Seven Kingdoms the send-off they deserve.

But wait, it might be freezing, even if it’s April, you cry. True enough, so there’ll be blankets and heaters provided, with hot butter popcorn served up for free.

And should it rain – it’ll probably rain, won’t it? – the action will swiftly move indoors to another projector-sized screen.

All that and Game of Thrones-themed cocktails, which definitely won’t be poisonous.
