Glee actress Naya Rivera missing after boating trip on lake with son
A search for the actress is underway.
Authorities are searching a Southern California lake for Glee actress Naya Rivera, who officials believe went missing while swimming Wednesday.
It's understood the actress rented a boat in the afternoon and went boating on Lake Piru, but three hours later authorities found her son asleep alone on the vessel.
A search operation was launched for Rivera after her four-year-old son, who was unharmed, was found.
The Ventura County Sheriff's office confirmed that 33-year-old Rivera was the subject of the search, but said that efforts to find the actress had been put on hold Wednesday night.
The search "will continue at first light" on Thursday, the Sheriff's department said.
Rivera is best known for playing Santana Lopez on musical comedy series Glee.
