Prime Video has just added a brilliant new sci-fi movie

Released in cinemas earlier this year, the film stars an Oscar-winner and has an 82% Rotten Tomatoes score.

The story begins with an unnamed dishevelled man (Rockwell) entering a diner in modern-day Los Angeles. Ranting to the patrons, he explains that he is from a nightmarish future and has travelled back in time to stop the apocalypse.

Needing help to save humanity, he believes an unknown combination of people in the restaurant can assist him in completing his strange quest. While many don't believe the stranger, a handful of customers agree to tag along.

The story follows the ragtag group on their mysterious mission, while also flashing back to explain each member of the gang's different motivations for joining the man from the future.

Directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Ring) and written by Matthew Robinson (The Last House), Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die co-stars Asim Chaudhry, Haley Lu Richardson, Juno Temple, Michael Peña and Zazie Beetz.

Taking aim at humanity's overreliance on technology, the movie feels incredibly timely, while boasting an inventive screenplay, haunting visuals, and wonderful performances.

Rockwell is absolutely electric as his speechifying stranger, while Richardson and Temple add unexpected pathos amidst all the sci-fi chaos.
