The Lost Boys is returning as a TV show

The Lost Boys

The vampire classic is back for another bite.

Sleep all day, party all night. It’s fun to be a vampire.

Granted, for large parts of Joel Schumacher’s beloved cult classic, that looked very true as the boardwalk in Santa Carla – featuring cinema’s most famous saxophonist – was the epitome of cool.

Aside from featuring breakout turns from Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric, the beloved vampire flick also had an iconic soundtrack and boasted some brilliant set pieces.

After seeing it, you’ll probably never look at noodles in the same way.

And as for ‘The Frog Brothers,’ well, some of their lines are just iconic.

This being said, the grandpa really put it best with the final line of the film; “There’s one thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach….all the damn vampires” and on that note, it’s time to inject new some new blood into the saga.

CW have announced that they will be rebooting the show and the official plot synopsis has been revealed.

“Welcome to sunny seaside Santa Carla, home to a beautiful boardwalk, all the cotton candy you can eat…and a secret underworld of vampires,” it begins.

“After the sudden death of their father, two brothers move to Santa Carla with their mother, who hopes to start anew in the town where she grew up.

“But the brothers find themselves drawn deeper and deeper into the seductive world of Santa Carla’s eternally beautiful and youthful undead.”

Given the amount of love that the original film has (we’re not going to mention the sequel), the stakes are very high for this reboot but we’re still excited to sink our teeth into this one.

We’ll stop with the vampire puns. After all, not everything you know about vampires are real.

Just ask this guy.
