Goosebumps writer R.L. Stine paid a lovely compliment to an Irish author

Mutual respect…

Robert Lawrence Stine is best known for writing the Goosebumps books, which were eventually made into a TV series and most recently a movie starring Jack Black.

He’s a pretty big deal in the world of writing which is why any praise from him is well worth feeling a sense of pride.

Dublin author Dave Rudden recently released his book, Knights Of The Borrowed Dark, which has received stellar reviews with The Guardian calling it “a magical debut.”

It’s the first book of the trilogy series and follows orphan Denizen Hardwick, who has grown up in an orphanage reading fantasy books and it turns out, he has extraordinary magical powers.

Robert Stine is clearly a fan of Rudden’s debut book and took to Twitter to announce his appreciation for the Dubliner’s work.

Douglas Adams is best known for writing The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, so Rudden is in very good company if Stine thinks the two are similar.

A nice compliment to get…
