That 1916 drama sounds very promising.

RTE have announced details of a host of new shows coming to RTE One over the coming months in a further sign that the excuse for the Irish summer is closing in. One of the most interesting of the new programmes is 'Rebellion', a five-part drama set over three crucial weeks during the 1916 rising, the 100th anniversary of which will be marked next year. The coming season will also see the debut of The Ray D’Arcy Show on Saturday nights, Mario Rosenstock will also be coming back to our screens with a new studio show and Ryan Tubridy will return as host of the Late Late Show for a record 56th season. latelate The imaginatively-titled 'Garda Down Under' will follow the lives of former Gardai now on the beat in Western Australia, while 'You Should Really See a Doctor' does pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, exploring the phenomenon of people self-diagnosing illnesses online.
