It’s a Sunday.

The end of the week.

And next week is starting off with loads and loads of rain.

So forget about the outdoors and watch a movie instead.

Here’s what’s on the box this evening:

Shark Tale – 6pm – ITV2

A genuinely brilliant animated movie with a top tier soundtrack. A great watch for the whole family.

The Greatest Showman – 7pm – Channel 4

THIS IS THE GREATEST SHOW. A perfect watch if you want to sing your way into the new week, and the first time it has been on free-to-watch TV.

Ghostbusters – 9pm – E4

Who ya’ gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS. Except this time, they’re women. A few decent laughs in this forgettable remake.

The Wedding Singer – 9pm – Comedy Central

Adam Sandler’s best movie? Maybe not. But a funny film nonetheless.

The Hangover Part III – 9pm – ITV 2

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis are back for a third comedic adventure. No need to have seen the first two, though it might help.

The Hitman’s Bodyguard – 9pm – Film4

Comedy/action/thriller starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L Jackson, Gary Oldman and Salma Hayek. Great cast, grand movie.

Detroit – 10pm – BBC Two

A magnificent watch, and as a rule of thumb, you should check out anything with John Boyega in it. He’s brilliant.

Unbroken – 12am – Channel 4

Angelina Jolie, Jack O’Connell and Domhnall Gleeson star in this World War II drama. Great movie if you’re staying up late.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
