Sunday night is movie night. Always.

Even before these difficult times, Sunday was always a good night to settle on the couch and enjoy a movie.

And if that’s your plan for the night, and you’ve completed Netflix over the past couple of weeks, here are the best choices on offer.

Cocoon – Film4 – 4.25pm

1985 sci-fi comedy starring Steve Guttenberg and Don Ameche, about a group of retirees who find mysterious objects in the sea.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War – Film4 – 6.50pm

Dark fairy-tale action-adventure starring Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt.

Fantastic Four – E4 – 7pm

A decent superhero movie that sadly didn’t become one of the biggest movies of all time, which has since become the trend.

Hot Pursuit – RTÉ2 – 9pm

Buddy comedy starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergera, if you’re in the mood for something light.

The Interview – Comedy Central – 9pm

Seth Rogen and James Franco star in this hilariously controversial comedy, where Franco’s character is given the opportunity to both interview and assassinate Kim Jong-Un.

The Outlaw Josey Wales – TCM Movies – 9pm

Directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, Josey Wales is a peaceful farmer until his family is murdered, and his farm is destroyed. Understandably, he is out for VENGEANCE.

Out of the Furnace – Film4 – 11.10pm

Crime thriller starring Christian Bale and Casey Affleck. Decent, if you’re staying up late…

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
