Here’s what we can expect from Season 5 of Black Mirror

Everybody is talking about Black Mirror.

The dystopian sci-fi anthology series is at the forefront of everyone's mind after Friday's release of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, a "choose your own adventure" take on the series that delights in freaking us all out to our very core. Social media has been abuzz with people who have watched/played Bandersnatch — so now seems like a good time to revisit what we've been told to expect from the show's fifth season. Two months ago, creator Charlie Brooker gave some hints in the book Inside Black Mirror. At one point, he said: "That's the one thing we can say about season five: we've definitely come up with something that's the most complicated thing we've ever done." One can imagine that this statement might have actually referred to Bandersnatch itself — seeing as its a total departure from anything else on TV, in terms of its interactive structure. Brooker also said he'd like to revisit two episodes in particular — floating the possibility of two episodes: Return to White Bear and Return to San Junipero. The original versions of these episodes came with two of the most surprising twists the show has ever offered, so we'd be very interested to see where it could go from there.
