Late Late Show

It’s a very good one tonight.

Ryan Tubridy will be joined by some top tier A-listers for tonight’s episode of The Late Late Show (11 January).

Three time Academy Award-nominee Saoirse Ronan will be on the show to talk about her role in Mary Queen Of Scots, and she’ll also be looking back at her time on Irish television screens on shows like The Clinic and Proof.

Prospective Irish citizen John C. Reilly and Alan Partridge star Steve Coogan will also be on the couch opposite Tubs talking about their upcoming biopic of iconic comedy legends Laurel and Hardy, titled Stan and Ollie. Maybe Reilly will also consider giving us a belt of The Wild Rover.

The show will also feature one of Ireland’s greatest ever golfers Pádraig Harrington, following this week’s announcement that he’ll be taking the captaincy role for Team Europe for the 2020 Ryder Cup. According to RTÉ, the Dubliner will be explaining his plans for “continued European domination of the competition.” Sounds good to us.

The show will also run a feature on what it means to be in your 20s in Ireland these days, speaking to some of Ireland’s youngest high achievers — including professional boxer Michael Conlan, star journalist Ellen Coyne, the one and only Barry Keoghan and beauty blogger Rosie Connolly.

Music on the night will be provided by up-and-coming Irish band The Academic.
