Late Late Show line up

You can expect chats about Eurovision, sports and TV.

The weekend is fast approaching once again, which means RTÉ has unveiled who will be appearing on the Late Late this Friday.

One person that will be in conversation with host Ryan Tubridy will be Jim Gavin, one of Gaelic Football’s greatest ever managers and the mastermind behind Dublin’s five-in-a-row success.

He will be discussing his new role in chairing an upcoming Citizens’ Assembly on a directly elected mayor of Dublin.

Another guest will be popular Irish writer Cecelia Ahern, who will be chatting about the new Apple TV+ anthology series Roar, which is based on her short story collection of the name.

The show premiered earlier this month and features performances by the likes of Alison Brie, Cynthia Erivo and Nicole Kidman.

In terms of music, Derry native Brooke Scullion is preparing to fly to Italy to represent Ireland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

She will speak to Tubridy about her life since winning The Late Late Show Eurosong in February and her upcoming performance at the song contest’s semi-finals in Turin on 12 May.

Scullion will also perform her dancefloor anthem ‘That’s Rich’, while Irish alt-folk group Moxie will give a rendition of their track ‘The Place Above’.

This week’s Late Late episode airs on RTÉ One on Friday, 29 April at 9.35pm.
