Home Improvement could be set for a reboot

Paul Moore

Tim Allen is on board. The ’90s revival continues.

With news that Kenan & Kel, Cobra Kai (the Karate Kid spinoff), Roseanne and a rumoured female-led reboot of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on the cards, it’s clear that the ’90s revival is in full swing.

Hell, at this rate, we might even see Pogs and Alf returning to the popular culture.

This being said, one show that was an institution of the decade was Home Improvement and it seems that a whole new generation might be wondering about the neighbour over the fence.

Tim Allen has confirmed that he might be wearing the tool belt again because a reboot is on the cards.

Speaking with ET, Tim ‘The Toolman’ Taylor was asked about the possibility of Home Improvement returning. “I can’t say everybody, but it has been floated. And more [cast members] than I would have expected said, ‘Yeah, that would be cool to do it years later,’ like Roseanne,” he said.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the show, Home Improvement ran for eight seasons from 1991 to 1999 and won Golden Globe Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, Kids’ Choice Awards, Young Artist Awards, YoungStar Awards, ASCAP Award, and many others.
