“I’m scarin’ here!” – Devil Baby prank on unsuspecting New Yorkers is hilariously terrifying

Good luck finding a babysitter for this little darling...

Eoghan Doherty

Everybody knows that babies are terrifying. It’s a science fact.

But when this particular Devil Baby was released on to the streets New York earlier this week, it took the notion of terrifying babies to a whole new level.

The genius prank unleashed upon the unsuspecting people of New York was actually the wonderful work of Thinkmodo, the imaginative marketing team behind the publicity for upcoming horror flick, Devil’s Due.

According to their website, Thinkmodo “mashes-up viral fun with marketing function to create effective viral video campaigns for brands. Our unique strategy generates tremendous online engagement and valuable earned media coverage worldwide.”

Their goal to earn “media coverage worldwide” has most certainly worked as this latest promotional clip has now gone viral, imitating the success of their recent Carrie-inspired telekinesis stunt in a Big Apple coffee shop.

While the shocking, puking baby from HELL is incredibly realistic-looking, and laughing at other people ploop their pants in public is always hilarious, JOE’s favourite moment has to be the completely unfussed reaction of the veteran street cleaner – a man who, having worked the streets of New York City for nigh on 153 years, has seen many a demented Devil Baby in his time.

Good luck finding a babysitter for this little darling…

Devil’s Due is released in Irish cinemas on January 16 and you can check out the trailer here:
