Potential big news for Jack Reynor.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jack Reynor is among the final three actors being considered to play a young Han Solo.

The Dublin actor, best known in the States for his role in Transformers: Age of Extinction, is being considered along with Taron Egerton (The Kingsman, Eddie the Eagle) and Aldon Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!).

The character will debut in a Star Wars spin-off that Disney, Lucasfilm and filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are making. It’s scheduled for 2018.

More than 2,500 actors are believed to have applied for the role, making it one of the widest casting calls in film history.

Whiplash star Miles Teller, Emory Cohen from Brooklyn and Ansel Elgort (The Fault In Our Stars) are also believed to have been considered.
