The movie stars Ruth Negga, and also features a closing credits song by the late Dolores O’Riordan.

It is now December, so you are now officially allowed to enjoy Christmas stuff without being accused of starting your festive celebrations too early.

To that end, we wholeheartedly recommend this adorable 30-minute movie, Angela’s Christmas, based on the only children’s book written by Frank McCourt, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Angela’s Ashes.

Set in Ireland in the 1910s, the movie tells the heart-warming and poignant story about the power of family and the innocent desire of a child to ensure everyone is safe, warm and loved at Christmas time.

It was created by the folks at Brown Bag Films (Doc McStuffins), with voice work provided by Lucy O’Connell (Song Of The Sea) and Ruth Negga (Love/Hate, Loving), as well as a closing credits original song by the late Dolores O’Riordan.
