Jay from The Inbetweeners has teased a new season of the beloved show

Bring your wellies because Season 4 could happen.

If you’re like Jay Cartwright from The Inbetweeners, it’s very likely that you’re spending your bank holiday weekend at a caravan club, completing Championship Manager with Woking or jumping over five lorries on Blue Peter.

We also know that you’ve also got a modelling job in Paris, a resident DJ gig in Ibiza and trials at West Ham to look forward to, but there’s one thing that you’re probably wishing for, another season of The Inbetweeners.

As previously reported, the beloved comedy turned 10 this week and after ranking the characters and testing your knowledge with this quiz, there’s only one way to top this momentous week…a reunion.

James Buckley has teased fans that Season 4 of the beloved show could be on the cards after he went out for dinner with the entire cast and said that he was enjoying a “a series 4 pre production meal.”

Granted, we’re using our ‘Jay bullshit detector’ on this one but hope springs eternal because this isn’t the first time that the idea of an Inbetweeners reunion has been floated.

In a previous interview, Joe Thomas (Simon) was optimistic about a potential reunion.

He said: ‘I think that we are definitely too old now to do anything that is set in a sixth form. If it’s the case that you want to do a show about some sixth formers then obviously we can’t be involved in that, with the best will in the world. But we could do the originals ten years down the line, married with kids.”

He added: “I mean, we can do that now. I would jump at any chance to work with those guys again — in any context, really.”

There you have it. We’re fully on board with the idea that the next Inbetweeners adventure will not be documenting their college days, but rather focusing on the day to day issues that being married involves.

Then again, who in their right mind would marry Jay?!?!
