Kristen Wiig hilariously went “full cat” for her role as a Wonder Woman 1984 villain

Purrrrrr-fect casting…

She may be better-known for her cracking comedy performances in movies like Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters and MacGruber, but now SNL stalwart Kristen Wiig has turned her hand (paw?) to playing one of the big baddies in Wonder Woman 1984.

Following on from 2017’s box office success, writer and director Patty Jenkins has created an action-packed, fun-fulled adventure set in the fantastically fashionable 1980s, so expect leg warmers, parachute pants and fanny packs galore.

JUST CALL THEM BUM BAGS.

Gal Gadot returns as immortal warrior Diana Prince, this time facing off against against two brand new enemies, the power-obsessed Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) and fur-midable foe, The Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).

Ahead of the release of Wonder Woman 1984, we sat down with Kristen Wiig to chat about why audiences are secretly rooting for The Cheetah, improvising on set and why she’s got a thing for starring opposite handsome Irishmen – we’re looking at you Chris O’Dowd and Jamie Dornan.

And, being the committed actor she is, Kristen also opened up about going “full cat” in order to get into the mindset of a cat/cheetah/woman hybrid-creature-thingy, a method technique involving a litter box, drinking milk out of a bowl and constantly curling up to everybody and weirding them out.

Enjoy…
