Late Late Show

In the comfy studio this week…

It’s that time of the week.

Yes, the moment when we reveal just who will be on this week’s edition of every single person in the country’s favourite topical entertainment chat juggernaut – The Late Late Show.

Ryan Tubridy will host the programme, for that is his usual gig. Joining him this week, however…

A special performance and some conversation from Sharon Shannon, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Fiachna Ó Braonáin of Hothouse Flowers fame, Lucia Evans and Steve Wickham is on the cards as the collective come together to release new charity album Songs for Rosabel.

Headline generator and Sky News veteran Kay Burley will sit down with Tubridy to talk about what Boris Johnson is really like. The broadcaster will also explain why attitudes towards women in the UK House of Commons are 30 years behind the times, and what impact the results of the Northern Ireland Assembly Elections will have.

Former Irish Special Forces Deputy Commander and Special Forces: Ultimate Hell Week leader Ray Goggins has plenty of conflict experience of his own, which he will detail while discussing the ongoing war in Ukraine. Goggins will outline precisely what those on the ground over there can expect, how to deal with a crisis and how the military mindset can be channeled into tackling any situation.

Back for its 12th year, RTÉ youth fashion show Junk Kouture will showcase its wears wares in the form of some of the finalists who will demonstrate the amazing creations that they create from, well, junk.

Finally, yet more music comes from enduring Mullingar outfit The Blizzards, who will perform ‘Friction Burns’, taken from forthcoming new album Sometimes We See More In The Dark.

The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One on Friday, 6 May at 9.35pm.
