Loads of your favourite shows are about to disappear from Netflix

We have some very bad news

Carl Kinsella

We hate to be the one to tell you.

According to NewOnNetflix, many of Netflix’s most popular programmes, in particular those produced by Channel 4, are about to disappear from the online streaming service.

Fans of Father Ted and The IT Crowd will be disappointed to hear that the popular titles are to be taken off Netflix on July 23rd.

The Channel 4 cull also includes This Is England, Utopia and Black Mirror, which will all be removed from Netflix before the end of the month.

August won’t be much better for anyone who enjoys the wide range of Channel 4 programming available on Netflix, as they will also lose the massively popular The Inbetweeners, Black Books and Peep Show.

This isn’t the first time that Channel 4 programmes have disappeared from Netflix. In February 2015, Channel 4 removed most of their programmes from Netflix only to reinstate them a week later.

While it’s entirely possible that the same could happen again, there is no reason why Channel 4 wouldn’t want it’s own free streaming service, 4od, to have exclusive access to the Channel 4 catalogue.

But it’s not all bad news for Netflix users.

Last week we put together a list of shows and movies that will be added to the Netflix roster in July, including the Hardy Bucks Movie and the new series of Bojack Horseman.

There’s still time to catch up on all of these shows before they disappear though, all you have to do is sign up to Netflix here.
