Is the end Nidge nigh?
It looks as though one of the most popular Irish dramas of all time is not going to be coming back for another series.
That is according to one of the stars of the show, Lawrence Kinlan.
The Dublin actor, who played Elmo in the hit series, said this when speaking to Independent.ie:
“Nidge is definitely dead. He’ll never be back, and I don’t think the show will ever be back.
“It was great while it lasted. I hope they don’t bring it back because it ended on such a high and it would be nice to keep it that way.
“You would want it to come back for selfish reasons.”
This may not come as a major surprise to fans of the show, after the demise of Nidge. The king is dead… long live the king.
