Mac Miller died of a drug overdose in September of 2018.

Director CJ Wallis has confirmed that he is making a documentary about the life of late rapper Mac Miller, who passed away last year.

The rapper, real name Malcolm McCormick, died at the age of 26, much to the devastation of millions of fans around the world.

Wallis took to Twitter to announce that he is making the documentary, but no release date has yet been mentioned.

He said:

“So, over the next year I’m going to start collecting interviews and content to make the definitive Mac Miller documentary for his family, friends and fans.”

He then took to Twitter to say that the response he had received so far was “unbelievable”.

A celebration was held after Miller’s death, which intended to pay tribute to the late rapper, and a number of massive artists were in attendance.

Donald Glover, Pusha T, DJ Jazzy Jeff and SZA were among the many contemporaries who paid tribute at the event, and based on this, we would imagine that some of the biggest names in music may appear in the upcoming documentary.

Miller was also in a serious relationship with Ariana Grande, although she is yet to comment on whether she will appear in the documentary.
