Did you manage to catch the premiere of Rick & Morty Season 3?

Rory Cashin

Okay, so we’ve got some good news and some bad news for Rick And Morty fans…

Last night, towards the end of April Fools’ Day, the show’s co-creator Dan Harmon was interacting with some fans on Twitter, when he asked “What if I waved a magic wand and made the first episode from season three premiere tonight. Is that what you’d want?”

The fans obviously responded and in the overwhelmingly positive, and Harmon responded to that with…

From there, if viewers went on to AdultSwim.com, they would find a massive button saying APRIL FOOLS, and if they clicked on it, they would be gifted with the first episode of Rick & Morty Season 3, titled The Rickshank Redemption.

If you remember from the end of Season 2, Rick had landed himself in the most maximum security prison in universe for committing just about every crime imaginable, which the rest of his family returned to Earth to discover it had become a tourist hot-spot for aliens all over the galaxy.

Now comes the bad news… the episode is still available to watch via the Adult Swim website here, but only for those inside the U.S.

For everyone else, the season will “officially” premiere this summer, with the first two seasons still up on Netflix if you haven’t caught up on them yet.

In the meantime, here’s a glimpse at one of the other upcoming episodes, featuring Rick as a pickle. A Rickle, if you will.
