Marvel unveil the latest films in their cinematic universe and there are some crackers in store

DC had asked the question and now Marvel has their answer...

DC had asked the question and now Marvel has their answer…

We’re big fans of the Marvel films but even we had to admit that things were getting a wee bit formulaic in the world that Nick Fury put together (he’s in everything).

There was only so many spectacular airborne fights, magical stones of unspeakable power and back-stabbing Shakespearean overtones that we could watch.

With the news that DC have started to get their house in order and that the Marvel Civil War is fast approaching, we were very intrigued to see what ambitious plans Marvel President Kevin Feige had in store for phase three.

Well be prepared to see Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok, Inhumans, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War and The Avengers: Infinity War, Part One and Two in the not too distant future.

So what do we know about casting and release dates?

Doctor Strange will be released in November 2016 but there has been no confirmation of Benedict Cumberbatch’s involvement just yet. Sorry Cumberbitches.

The sequel to the superb Guardians of the Galaxy will be directed once again by James Gunn and will hit cinemas on May 5, 2017. Star Lord’s got a brand new mix-tape. Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka.

We presume that Chris Hemsworth’s Thor will get quite the surprise when he realises that his manipulative and scheming brother Loki is sitting on the Asgard throne in Thor: Ragnarok.

The new additions to the Marvelverse include Black Panther’s stand-alone debut  on November 3, 2017 and Inhumans on November 2, 2018. Black Panther will first be introduced in Captain America: Civil War though and here is Tony Downey Stark, Chris Evans and newcomer Chadwick Boseman all together.

Captain Marvel will see the first female-led film from the studio while the biggest jewel in their crown, or should we say their Infinity Gauntlet, will be the much anticipated showdown between Earth’s mightiest heroes (God that sounds so cheesy) and the big bad intergalactic purple monster Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2.

Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and all those other less cool guys have already duelled with Loki while Ultron awaits next summer, but surely they can’t be as formidable as the galaxies’ biggest bad-ass and all his magical stones of power? What do you know, here’s a picture of him with the galaxy’s most powerful weapon.
