You may as well forget about getting Late Late Toy Show tickets

The odds are firmly against you.

Late Late Toy Show

FFS…

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but the chances of you earning Toy Show tickets are quite slim, slim to almost none at all.

RTÉ have revealed that The Late Late Toy Show has received more than 80,000 applications in just two days.

The application process for the tickets was launched on Monday (you can find out more about it here) and there’s been a enormous reaction.

Despite there being just 204 places in the audience up for grabs, 140,000 people applied last year to try and earn a spot, so frankly, we’ve seen better odds.

Late Late Toy Show host Ryan Tubridy said: “The response has been phenomenal – to have 80,000 applications in just two days is staggering. I only wish that everyone who applied could get one.”

Last year’s Jungle Book-themed Late Late Toy Show was seen by an audience of 1.57 million people, making it the second most watched programme on Irish television this century.

We’re still putting our name in the mix for tickets though, despite the odds, you can’t put a price on seeing a young child meet their hero…

Or a young fella rapping like a true gangsta [sic]…
