The Mighty Ducks had a reunion and you might struggle to recognise some of them

Paul Moore

Quack, quack, quack.

Listen up cake eater. The Mighty Ducks is a bonafide classic and anyone that tries to tell you any different clearly plays for the Hawks.

Anyone who grew up in the ’90s secretly wanted to have mates like The Bash Brothers, skate through a shopping mall as a means of building team morale, and well, take the piss out of Goldberg in the same way that the Ducks did.

Despite the goalie’s well documented troubles with the law, Coach Bombay would be pretty proud of how his team have grown up as, aside from inspiring the creation of the NHL team the Anaheim Ducks, the main members of the cast have all had pretty decent careers.

And, with news that a reboot is on the way, fans of the trilogy will be delighted to know that after all these years, ducks still fly together.

Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson, who starred as Russ Tyler in D2: The Mighty Ducks and D3, was attending the Anaheim Ducks’ recent match against the Islanders at New York’s Nassau Coliseum.

Thompson was joined by fellow cast members Garette Ratliff Henson (Guy Germaine), Vincent LaRusso (Adam Banks) and Danny Tamberelli (Tommy Duncan), all of whom starred in the original 1992 film.

Eagle-eyed fans will also spot Colombe Jacobsen-Derstine (Julie ‘The Cat’ Gaffney) in with the crew.

If you’re hankering to test your knowledge of The Mighty Ducks, this quiz should do the trick.

Quack, quack, quack.
