Mike Tindall “under investigation” for breach of Covid rules after I’m a Celeb joke

The report comes days after Olivia Attwood made a shock exit from the show.

Mike Tindall is being investigated for potentially breaching I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’s strict rules regarding Covid-19, according to reports.

The former England rugby player is alleged to have broken the regulations as he was photographed joking around with a crew member.

The I’m A Celeb cast and crew have been told to remain at least two metres apart at all times.

However, the 44-year-old was pictured laughing as he seemingly caught the female worker off guard and pretended to throw her off the pier in between filming scenes for the programme, the Daily Mail reported.

A source told the outlet: “All crew are told to stay two metres apart from cast members, which is a Covid regulation.

“Sound and security, who do tests, are the only people that can come into contact with the celebrities.”

The crew has also reportedly been instructed to wear face coverings to prevent an outbreak.

In keeping with this, the crew member pictured with Tindall was seen wearing a black mask over her nose and mouth.

The insider also told the Daily Mail: “Mike having physical contact with the assistant producer was a rule break and he shouldn’t have approached her.”

The female crew member is said to have been “completely taken by surprise” by Tindall’s joke.

A spokesperson for ITV told the outlet: “ITV Studios and Lifted Entertainment operate a stringent set of Covid protocols and procedures to ensure the protection and safety of our cast and crew.

“We have detailed risk assessments in place throughout filming and are satisfied that no protocols have been broken.”

The news comes after Olivia Attwood was forced to leave the I’m A Celeb jungle due to medical reasons earlier this week.

The former Love Island star was left “heartbroken” as she had to leave the jungle for reasons she vowed to explain “in due course”.
