Millie Bobby Brown has defended her friendship with Drake

She took to Instagram to dispel the rumours that have been circulating.

Drake has received a lot of criticism lately for his friendship with Millie Bobby Brown.

The Stranger Things actress claimed that she and Drake have gone for dinner on a number of occasions, and often text about boys.

When asked what exactly the two text about, she replied: “That stays in the text messages.”

Since then, a large section of the Internet has suggested that the relationship that the two have is extremely inappropriate given the age difference.

Drake is 31 and Brown is 14.

The young actor has since posted an Instagram story defending their friendship, and criticising news outlets who have claimed that the two’s friendship is unhealthy.

Brown wrote: “Why you gotta make a lovely friendship your headline? You guys are weird… For real. I’m lucky to have people in the business extend their time to help further my career and offer their wisdom and guidance.

“I’m very blessed to have amazing people in my life. You don’t get to choose that for me. It’s nice to have people understand what I do. Now get back to talking about real problems in this world other than my friendships. Jeez.”

Drake is yet to address the controversy in any way.
