Christmas is winding down…

We’re nearly at the end of the busy festive period.

Some of you might even be tempted to start taking down your decorations.

But we still have one more bank holiday, so you might as well take advantage of the lie-in and watch a great film.

Here’s JOE’s picks for the best of cinema on the small screen this Sunday.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – Channel 4 – 5.30pm

The fourth one.

Bullitt – Turner Classic Movies – 6.30pm

Well worth it for the car chase alone.

Spider-Man – ITV2 – 6.35pm

Where it all began.

Click – Comedy Central – 6.50pm

What if you had a remote control that changed the world around you? And also, you were Adam Sandler?

Bridget Jones’ Baby – RTÉ2 – 9pm

The third (and final) one.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 – Virgin Media One – 9pm

A birthday party goes terribly wrong.

Taken – E4 – 9pm

Liam Neeson has a particular set of skills…

Spider-Man 3 – W – 9pm

Spider-Man gets infected with the powerful combination of a long fringe and jazz music.

Role Models – Comedy Central – 9pm

Leave your brain at the door and enjoy Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott getting up to all sorts of hijinx.

Die Hard – ITV4 – 9pm

In case you missed it over Christmas.

Johnny English Strikes Again – Film 4 – 9pm

The second one.

Michael Inside – RTÉ One – 9.30pm

A brilliant Irish film about life in prison.

Mary: Queen of Scots – BBC Two – 9.30pm

Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie star as cousins and rivals, Mary Queen of Scots and Queen Elizabeth I.

Fighting With My Family – Channel 4 – 10.30pm

A WWE comedy based on the true story of Paige which is far better than it has any right to be.

Saving Private Ryan – Channel 5 – 10.3opm

One of the best war films ever made, no questions asked.

Moulin Rouge! – TG4 – 11.10pm

Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman star in this jukebox musical about the French cabaret.

The Wolf of Wall Street – ITV4 – 11.35pm

Our top pick for tonight is a madcap biography which never lets up from the moment it starts.

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as Jordan Belfort, a Wall Street stockbroker who lived a life of corruption and debauchery.

The film is directed by Martin Scorsese, who is a master of creating unlikable protagonists, eventually showing their downfall.

If you haven’t seen this yet, make sure you sit down and check it out tonight.

A Star Is Born – BBC One – 11.50pm

This film is shallow, sha-la-low, but at least the songs are half decent.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
