“In case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night.”

Ah, Sunday.

Some of you may be feeling a bit tender today following the removal of most Covid restrictions on Friday.

You probably don’t want to leave the house today, and understandably so.

Luckily, there are plenty of good movies to check out while you’re curled up on the couch.

So grab a Lucozade, sit down, and check out JOE’s top picks on the small screen for tonight.

Johnny English: Reborn – ITV2 – 4.15pm

The second one.

The Truman Show – Sony Movie Channel – 5pm

Our top pick for tonight’s films is a masterpiece.

Jim Carrey stars as Truman Burbank, a salesman who discovers that his entire life has been the subject of a reality TV show.

Carrey is fantastic as the unwilling star, and the ending really is something to behold.

If you haven’t seen it before, make sure you check it out tonight.

Spider-Man 3 – ITV2 – 6.15pm

“Now, dig on this.”

Eddie the Eagle – E4 – 6.55pm

A feel good flick about British ski jumper Eddie Edwards, who competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics.

10 Things I Hate About You – Sony Movie Channel – 7.05pm

Unironically one of the best adaptations of William Shakespeare’s work on screen.

Independence Day: Resurgence – RTÉ 2 – 9pm

Did this film really need a sequel? Doesn’t matter, we get more Jeff Goldblum.

Passengers – E4 – 9pm

Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence are woken up 90 years too early on a spaceship.

Captain Phillips – ITV4 – 9pm

How come every time Tom Hanks is put in charge of a spaceship, boat, or plane, something goes wrong?

Austin Powers in Goldmember – Comedy Central – 9pm

The third one.

Hellboy – ITV4 – 11.40pm

Ron Perlman kicks ass in this comic book adaptation.

Z For Zachariah – BBC ONE – 12.15am

Margot Robbie is the only person left on Earth. No, wait, Margot Robbie and Chiwetel Ejiofor are the only people left on Earth. No, wait, Margot Robbie, Chiwetel Ejiofor AND Chris Pine are the only people left on Earth.
