Patrick Swayze’s greatest performance is among the movies on TV tonight

Hugh Carr

Nobody puts Baby in a corner.

The post Bank Holiday lull.

Was it a good idea to go out Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday?

Probably not, and now you’re in an absolute hape.

If you get a text from a friend asking if you’re up for another round, tell them you’re busy.

Besides, there are lots of great films to watch tonight.

Here’s JOE’s top picks for the movies on your telly this Tuesday (3 May).

Octopussy – ITV4 – 8pm

Bond takes on the Soviets in Roger Moore’s sixth outing as 007.

Bad Teacher – Comedy Central – 9pm

Cameron Diaz just wants to marry rich, making her an incredibly relatable protagonist.

The Vanishing – Film4 – 9pm

What is it about men going crazy when they’re working in a lighthouse?

Dirty Dancing – Virgin Media Three – 10pm

Our top pick tonight will be the time of your life. At least, that’s what the song says.

While the lift is arguably one of the most famous scenes in movie history, there’s a whole plot surrounding love, classism, and women’s rights.

Of course, there’s also a lot of filthy, filthy, dancing.

It’s Swayze’s most iconic role, and rightfully so. Give it a watch if you haven’t already.

Jungle Run – SyFy – 10pm

The app is a lot more entertaining.

A Good Woman Is Hard To Find – Horror Channel – 10.40pm

Dublin’s own Sarah Bolger stars in this excellent crime thriller about a woman seeking to find her husband’s killer.

Cannonball Run II – ITV4 – 10.45pm

The last onscreen venture of the Rat Pack. It’s really, really bad.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword – Turner Classic Movies – 11.45pm

One of the biggest box office bombs in recent memory. Did you know there were meant to be SIX films in this series?

The Taking of Pelham 123 – Film4 – 01:25am

The original 1974 version, not the one with Denzel Washington and John Travolta.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
