Daniel Craig’s best outing as Bond? The heart says Casino Royale but Skyfall really is excellent and arguably improves with each viewing.
Shout-out to Javier Bardem’s superb villain and Roger Deakins’ typically stunning cinematography, too.
Jason Bourne – Channel 4 – 9pm
Diminishing returns rather set in as Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass went back to the amnesiac spy well, but Jason Bourne at least offers up some excellent set pieces.
Now You See Me 2 – Film 4 – 9pm
We’ll forever be upset that they didn’t call it Now You Don’t.
Kingpin – Universal TV – 9pm
Classic 90s knockabout comedy with Bill Murray sporting the best hairstyles of his career.
Revolutionary Road – TG4 – 9.15pm
Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are reunited and once again it really doesn’t go too well in this patient and tough ‘scenes from a marriage’ drama.
Rocky II – ITV – 10.45pm

Cape Fear – ITV4 – 11pm
The Simpsons may have parodied it perfectly, but Cape Fear is a masterclass in tension and terror, boasting Robert De Niro at his most terrifying.
