One of the best buddy cop films ever is among the movies on TV tonight

Movies on TV Tuesday 30 November

The last day of the month.

December is almost upon us, my friends.

November still has a cinematic part to play, though.

Let’s see how it looks on the box on Tuesday, 30 November…

The Goonies – Turner Classic Movies / TCM – 6.45pm

Beloved coming-of-age adventure featuring a young Josh Brolin.

Gifted – Film4 – 6.55pm

Chris Evans shows an even more tender side of himself than his usual Captain America heroics in this sensitive drama about a child prodigy.

American Pie: Reunion – Comedy Central – 9pm

The fourth one.

Jason Bourne – Film4 – 9pm

Technically the fifth one a.k.a. the one where Matt Damon returned to the spy franchise.

Bad Boys – Sky Showcase – 9pm

The original outing for Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s law enforcement partnership is our main pick for you tonight.

The two best friends – one super-cool (Smith), the other insecure as hell (Lawrence) – must trade identities to protect a hunted witness as a ruthless villain closes in.

Bad Boys boasts good humour, great action, a killer music score and plenty of 90s atmosphere.

Lucy – ITV4 – 10pm

Scarlett Johansson develops super-powers and battles the bad guys who betrayed her in the first place.

Criminal – Film4 – 11.25pm

Kevin Costner takes the lead as a – wait for it – criminal who has his brain implanted with the memories of a dead CIA agent.

Belly of the Beast – TCM – 11.40pm

Typical ridiculous action fare from Steven Seagal’s endless straight-t0-DVD era.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
