Seeing as St. Patrick’s Day is the one and only day where “it’s easy being green”, the good folk at Disney have decided to preview Muppets: Most Wanted here in Ireland before anywhere else!

In celebration of Ireland’s legendary love of all things Muppets (‘The Muppets’ was the #1 movie at the Irish box office for the 1st 3 months of 2012), Disney have announced that Irish cinema lovers will be among the first in the world to have the opportunity to see Muppets: Most Wanted, as there will be paid previews over St. Patrick’s Weekend (15, 16, & 17 March) exclusively here in Ireland.

Disney’s Muppets: Most Wanted takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theatres in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including our very own Dublin, and also Madrid, Berlin and London to name a few.

But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon and Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard.

So if you’re looking for something non-alcohol related to do this weekend, then look no further! Make sure to check out your local cinema listings over the weekend if you want to see Kermit and Mss Piggy in their latest flick before anyone else, as it may not be available in all theatres.
