Finally! Now we can share our love of Dora the Explorer…

Before the arrival of Netflix in our household, JOE used to begrudgingly trundle to our local video store to rent a movie. This usually involved the painstaking task of wearing clothes, trying to charm our way around the fines on our account and, of course, actually choosing a brilliant film.

Netflix’s latest new addition can help eliminate one of these steps at least as they have just launched a a new social recommendation feature that allows you to privately recommend shows and films to your mates. We still suggest you wear clothes though.

As of today, when you finish watching something on Netflix, you’ll be asked if you know anyone else who’d like that show, and prompted to find your friends by connecting to Facebook.

Fear not though, because connecting will not post any info to Facebook or share what you watch on your friends’ news feed.

Your friends will receive the recommendation the next time they log into Netflix and the fantastic feature is available on the website, iPad, iPhone, PS3, Xbox, and many set-top boxes and smart TVs.

JOE reckons that this is much easier than lending your mates a DVD… that you’ll obviously never get back.
