Netflix has just added 11 big but completely random movies

Rory Cashin

There seems to be no reason or rhyme to this newly added collection.

From 1970s westerns to brand-new releases, this batch of Netflix movies truly is one of those “something for everyone” kinda deals.

Starting with…

THE BIG UGLY

Ron Perlman, Vinnie Jones, Malcolm McDowell and Succession’s Nicholas Braun star in this crime thriller dealing with a group of London mobsters hoping to strike up a business deal with American oil barons.

END OF THE ROAD

Queen Latifah and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges headline this action thriller about a family heading on a cross-country trip across America, only to become the latest target of a mysterious killer.

JOE KIDD

Clint Eastwood’s 1972 Western in which he is hired to hunt down a Mexican revolutionary leader. Apparently it is only okay.

JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE

The surprisingly decent soft reboot of the game-comes-to-life action-adventure, with The Rock, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black all in top form.

KAJILLIONAIRE

A very good dark comedy crime thriller, in which a young woman (Evan Rachel Wood) finds her life turned upside down when her criminal parents (Richard Jenkins and Debra Winger) invite a stranger (Gina Rodriguez) to join them on a major upcoming heist.

KILLER ELITE

Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert De Niro star in this action thriller about a group of killers-for-hire forced to come out of retirement.

LYING AND STEALING

A very average crime drama about an art thief (Theo James) who wants to out of the stealing business, and an actress (Emily Ratajkowski) who might be able to help him escape.

THERE BE DRAGONS

The director of The Killing Fields and The Mission put together an impressive enough cast (Charlie Cox, Wes Bentley, Dougray Scott, Rodrigo Santoro, Olga Kurylenko, Charles Dance, Derek Jacobi) for this kinda dull war drama.

THOROUGHBREDS

Another very good dark comedy crime thriller, this one revolving around two best friends (Olivia Cooke and Anya Taylor-Joy) and the incredibly dark plans they hatch in order to improve their lives.

UNCLE BUCK

The late, great John Candy stars in this much-loved 80s comedy about a messy uncle who comes to babysit a group of his nieces and nephews.

UNTOLD: RACE OF THE CENTURY

The latest entry in Netflix’s very good feature documentary series focuses on the Australia II yacht crew and the motivation, dedication and innovation that led to their historic victory at the 1983 America’s Cup.
