The latest Netflix original movie is cleaning up.

Recently released viewing figures for their war drama Beasts of No Nation have shown its remarkable success.

The company’s head of content, Ted Sarandos, gave an insight into the popularity of the film, which stars Idris Elba.

“We are just thrilled with the total audience reach of this film, not just in North America, but the world,” Sarandos said in an interview with Deadline. “In the first week of release, Beasts of No Nation was the most watched movie on Netflix, in every country we operate in.”

Having reportedly splashed out in excess of $12m on the rights for the film, Netflix chiefs will be delighted to see that it has already yielded more than 3 million streaming views within 10 days just in America.
