Nocturne, Apple TV's dark new thriller series with Stephen Graham (Adolescence, Boiling Point), has been given a release date.
Due to arrive in October, the 10-part show is based on the internationally bestselling crime novels Lazarus and The Sandman by Lars Kepler.
The story follows Jonah Lynn (Liev Schreiber, The Manchurian Candidate), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective. Tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, he moves to a small town in western Pennsylvania for a quiet life.
"But, as the town and his family come under attack from the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham), Jonah must protect all that he holds dear," the plot synopsis adds.
"When the desperate search for Jurek’s last missing victim forces Jonah to send his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Zazie Beetz, They Will Kill You), up against Jurek, how far will Jonah go?"
The ensemble cast of Nocturne includes Bill Camp, Chrissy Metz, Gary Carr, Poorna Jagannathan, and Rory Culkin.
Created by BAFTA Award winner Rowan Joffé, who also wrote on the project, the series has been developed for TV, written, and showrun by John Hlavin (The Man Who Fell to Earth, Shooter).
Its first two episodes were also directed by Emmy Award winner Tim Van Patten (Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos).
Nocturne will premiere on Apple TV on Friday, October 30, 2026, with its first two episodes.
New episodes will then drop weekly every Friday through to December 25, 2026, on the streaming service.
