It's hard to believe that Jordan Peele went from sketch comedy writer to horror auteur.
He's quickly become one of cinema's most exciting directors, with his debut film Get Out winning an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and Us being one of the most critically acclaimed films of 2019.
It's no wonder, then, that we are VERY excited to check out his new film, Nope.
As usual, the cast is full of phenomenal actors including Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Messiah, Get Out), Oscar nominated Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead, Invincible), and Keke Palmer (Scream Queens, Hustlers).
The film centres on a ranch in California that provides horses for Hollywood films.
Everything seems to be normal (as always) until something strange seems to fall out of the sky.
Animals start breaking loose, tube men start deflating for no reason, and a mysterious motorcyclist with a camera appears to be recording everything that's going on.
At one point, a ship looks to descend, opening like a huge eye in the sky.
And of course, there's shots in the trailer that we're not going to spoil, which proves that this is going to be a very freaky flick.
The trailer leaves us with lots of questions such as how this is all happening, and what is the significance of the cloud with the bunting that's featured in the poster.
Peele's films use horror as a lens in which to reflect concerns of the time, so we're very interested to see how this will turn out.
Nope is produced by Peele's own Monkeypaw Productions along with Ian Cooper (Us, Candyman).
The possible film of the summer is set to release on 22 July this year.
