OFFICIAL: David Attenborough is making a new BBC nature series ‘One Planet, Seven Worlds’

The return of the king!

Not just content with the news that Louis Theroux is making a new documentary for BBC Two, the station have also confirmed that David Attenborough will be making a new series that explores how the continents have shaped animal life.

One Planet, Seven Worlds is part of an initiative that the BBC are currently undertaking called Protecting Our Planet.

Essentially, the BBC have commissioned a lot more documentaries that examine the natural environment and mankind’s detrimental impact on it.

Aside from his work on One Planet, Seven Worlds , The Guardian have also reported that Attenborough is being heavily linked with an appearance in another nature documentary, Green Planet.

With regards to the subject nature of Green Planet, they state that the series will “look at the world from the point of view of plants and highlights the part they play in the global ecosystem.”

In recent months, audiences were absolutely gripped by the beloved broadcaster’s work on Dynasties and with a new show coming on Netflix this year, Our Planet, the next few months are going to be heaven for Attenborough fans.

Netflix’s documentary is due to be released in April, while One Planet, Seven Worlds BBC is expected to air in the autumn on the BBC.
