It’s been the talk of the country for the last two weeks…

On Friday’s Late Late Show, there was once again plenty of variation in the guests.

You’d a choice of some of Ireland’s brightest young tech stars, Patrick and John Collison, who founded the company Stripe which is valued at $20 billion.

Then you could listen to the political dynasty which is the Healy-Raes. There were five of them on the show. Five… five of them.

The Late Late Show also celebrated the life of the late Laura Brennan, the Clare native who made a huge impact when she appeared on the show in April last year to tell her story of being diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer and to raise awareness of the HPV vaccine.

Then we had comedian Oliver Callan, who took advantage of what was dominating public conversation this week to make some jibes at Fine Gael TD Maria Bailey.

Bailey this week dropped a compensation claim against The Dean Hotel on Harcourt Street for injuries suffered after falling off a swing at the premises in 2015.

Callan impersonated a number of people including Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, during which he discussed the “Swing Cat Tribunal”.
