Marvel has finally released the trailer for
Of course, Endgame has the unenviable task of following up Infinity War. A movie which notoriously ended with half of the franchise's beloved characters seemingly being turned to dust.
Now, those who remain — Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, Bruce Banner — have got to find a way to undo the damage that Thanos as wrought on the universe.
And it looks like they're going to have help from one hero who didn't even feature in Infinity War: Ant-Man, aka Scott Lang.
The last time we saw Lang, he was trapped in the quantum realm, but the trailer for Endgame would suggest he's made it out safe and sound. But that's not all we learned from his brief appearance in the trailer.
Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that when Lang appears on the security cam outside The Avengers' HQ, something is... wrong.
When Lang appears on the screen, Steve Rogers asks "Is this an old message?" but Black Widow shoots him down by saying "It's the front door."
But if you look hard enough, you'll see that the top corner of the CCTV feed reads "Archive 1983." This would seem to suggest that Ant-Man recorded the message 35 years ago, long before he was Ant-Man. Many are speculating that this little revelation confirms theories that Avengers: Endgame is set to feature time-travel as an important plot point.

Of course, actor Paul Rudd's utterly ageless appearance complicates matters further, because the guy basically looks the same now as he did in 1983.
