Davidson refused to carry on with the show until the heckler was removed from the venue.
Stand-up comedian Pete Davidson had an audience member kicked out for making a comment about Mac Miller during a recent gig.
Miller died of a drug overdose in September 2018, and both Davidson and Miller were in long-term relationships with pop star Ariana Grande, which she addressed in her recent song ‘Ghostin‘.
While performing at the South Orange Performing Arts Center in New Jersey, Davidson told a joke which started with the line: “So, what else is going on, my friend died in my apartment…”, when an audience interrupted and said: “Mac Miller?”
Davidson replied: “Oh Jesus Christ, who’s that guy, we’re getting him out. I’ll wait, I’ll wait, I will not continue until that kid’s gone.”
He then said that he would refuse to continue until the heckler left, and said that he wanted to make sure that he got a refund.
“I’ll leave so if you want to try to continue, call out the person who did it and we’ll get him the f*** out. Give him his money back and get him the f**k out… make sure he gets his money back too, because I don’t want his money.”
