Welcome to Earth.
Ah, those pesky aliens. Will they ever just come to our planet, chill, have a cup of tea and resist the urge to enslave all humanity via an oppressive and tyrannical regime?
It seems that they’re coming back for another shot /lazer blast at mankind in Independence Day : Resurgence.
We knew that Will Smith wasn’t featuring – he’s probably too busy hanging out with Jazzy Jeff – but the cast is still good enough to kick some alien butt.
Jeff ‘must go faster’ Goldblum is once again leading the resistance while Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox and Liam Hemsworth will also be along for the ride, presumably in an alien spaceship.
Fan of blowing things up Director Roland Emmerich has also revealed some more plot details. Apparently, in the years since the war of the first film, the world has come together to fight against a common enemy. What that is, we don’t know just yet.
Sela Ward will be playing the new President of the United States, she can’t do a better speech than Pullman though.
Independence Day Resurgence hits theaters June 24th, 2016.
