Wright parted ways with Marvel Studios on Friday night despite developing ‘Ant-Man’ since 2006.
Joss Whedon holds aloft a Cornetto in tribute to Edgar Wright, who departs ‘Ant-Man’ despite starting work on the movie eight years ago.
Wright, of course, is famous for his Cornetto Trilogy of ‘Shaun Of The Dead,’ ‘Hot Fuzz’ and ‘The World’s End.’

“Marvel and Edgar Wright jointly announced today that the studio and director have parted ways on Ant-Man due to differences in their vision of the film,” a statement issued by the studio read.
“The decision to move on is amicable and does not impact the release date on July 17, 2015. A new director will be announced shortly.”
Marvel revealed that a new ‘Ant-Man’ director has been chosen but not yet made public.
Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas will all star in the movie.
