Two absolute champs.
Whatever about the travesty of his Olympic Games exit, Michael Conlan is heading for great things in the boxing world but he didn’t forget one of his biggest – and littlest – fans in Dublin on Friday night.
The boxer was so touched by this letter, containing the gift of a gold medal, from his five-year-old fan that he promised to give something in return when he got home.
Earlier, Conlan tweeted that he was on his way to Montrose and he wasn’t going to be empty handed.
Finn was getting his own very special pair of boxing gloves.

The pair met up before the broadcast, and the little man looked delighted with his gift.
You’ve got to love moments like these.
