PIC: The kid from Jerry Maguire now looks like an absolute beast

JOE

This shows that there’s hope for us all.

If you’ve ever seen the 1996 classic Jerry Maguire (that’s right, it turns 20 this year) then there are probably a few things that have stuck in your head over the years.

Lines like “show me the money” and “you had me at hello” have become so detached from the original story that it’s easy to forget that they ever appeared in the film in the first place – and it’s fair to say the same of actor Jonathan Lipnicki, who played Renee Zellweger’s son in the film.

Lip1

Lipnicki had a successful career as a child actor, starring in films like Stuart Little, The Little Vampire and any kids’ film around the turn of the millennium that featured the word ‘little’ in the title, but we’ve not heard a whole lot from him since.

So what is the kid with spiky hair and glasses up to these days? Well, it turns out he’s not so little. In fact, he’s a bit of a beast.

Since his acting days, Lipnicki has beefed up and become a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

He even went as far as to draw a shockingly accurate parallel between himself and Amir Khan’s next opponent, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

I hope you guys like me in @canelo the movie. ????
