Pics: The first still shots from Jurassic World are here, but there’s no sign of any dinosaurs… yet

There are no dinosaurs but it’s still OK to be scared, right. Right?

There are no dinosaurs but it’s still OK to be scared, right. Right?

We won’t get really scared until the movie actually hits cinema screens almost exactly a year from now but the release of the first still shots are still enough to get us excited about Jurassic World, the fourth episode in the Jurassic Park series.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard amongst others, we don’t know a whole lot about what the new flick is going to have in store just yet.

Judging by the still released by Universal Pictures this week, however, we can nearly already tell that Pratt’s character Owen (who looks very hero-like) is going to save the day at some point, while we can only guess that the scared faces on the two kids in the bottom still is because they’re looking straight at dinosaurs.

There’s no sign of said dinosaurs just yet but Trevorrow has already promised that they will be “bigger, louder, with more teeth,” and if he can come up with a scene scarier than this one in the original then kudos to him because looking at it over again is nearly enough to cause a little dino-mite explosion in our trousers.
