The iconic stadium looked incredible.

Irish pop rock band Picture This made their US late night television debut on Monday with a pre-recorded performance from an empty Croke Park.

The four-piece from Kildare appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden to perform their latest single ‘Things Are Different’.

The performance saw frontman Ryan Hennessy at first seemingly singing the group’s new anthem from a bedroom before the walls collapsed revealing he and the band were in reality in the legendary Dublin venue.

There was also a pre-performance interview where the lads chatted to Corden about working with Jonas Brother Joe Jonas after a stroke of luck brought them together.

The band revealed: “[Joe] pulled up outside our show in 2019. We were playing The Troubadour in Los Angeles. He got stuck in traffic actually outside.

“He wound down his window and asked the fans who was playing inside. They said Picture This.

“Then we got a video of that encounter of Joe with the fans and we slid into his DMs.”

While Jonas didn’t make that particular show, he became friendly with Picture This leading to the band going on tour with the Jonas Brothers at the beginning of last year.

Now, Jonas and Picture This are working on some music together.

The band also explained the reason for performing their new single in Croke Park for Corden’s show.

They said: “The idea of doing it there is the fact that [Croke Park] is so used to having so much life in it and for the last year it has had none at all.

“It’s a place we’ve wanted to play and we want to play in the future.

“So, we thought we might as well symbolise that and do the performance in there while it’s empty.”
